Where is the Thrill? This past week I did something I have never done before…now don’t jump to conclusions as to what that might be, wait until I can tell you …
I went to the grocery store for Terrie to retrieve a few items that we were short on, when I walked by the freezer section and saw a box of ice-cream sandwiches…and they were on sale!
Now in this current world view that we live in ice cream bars do not fit in the “Atkins” plan of life…however, Mr. Atkins was not there at the Food Lion on Friday night, so I bought the two for one special!
Upon arriving at home, my smallest reproduction unit, Mary Hannah was waiting at the door, when she saw the ice cream bars in the bag; she went wild and could hardly eat her supper, just waiting for an ice cream bar…
As I watched her jump around and dance over the expectation of ice cream, I thought, what excites me like that? I remember when hunting, fishing, dating, cars, boats and new guns brought me thrills, youth camp, carowinds, and six flags brought me knee-slapping excitement…but what is it now…where is my thrill?
Watch a persons life, and the things that thrill them the most will occupy their greatest allotment of spare time…
Luke 12:34 (KJV)
34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Where do I spend my time, I am ashamed to say but until recently I spent way too many hours in front of a TV instead of with my heavenly father and family. Now that Time Warner is no longer my addiction I have discovered new exciting fruit growing in my life. My reproduction units (children) and my soul-mate are blooming before my eyes! Our time together is more meaningful and I can clearly hear the voice of the Father again. I guess the following applies:
Heb 2:1-3 2:1 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. 2 For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward; 3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;

Are we focused, are we poised and waiting on ready for the rapture? Are we looking for other little fish that are lost along the way. Let’s get busy Church, Let’s be working for a “well done” and give it all we have!
In His grip and in your service!
